when you live in a place for 25 years like I did you realize that there are so many aspects of it that as a function of living there you miss out on. You don't visit the museums all the time. You don't usually know everything about hotels and every neighborhood. When you visit NY as a non resident you want to see everything and go everywhere but when you live here you settle into routines and have patterns to your life

So,
I'm sitting in airport at my gate and a gentleman is sitting behind me on the phone with his office complaining , nicely complaining about having been given a window seat. I had seen him delivered to the gate in a wheel chair and I figured when he got off the phone I'd simply arrange to switch seats with him. I actually like window seats and difference would it really make? He seemed to have a need and I could easily oblige it.

I will be in New York for the week doing some album promo. I'll be facebooking and tweeting and all that good stuff but here on the website I will be writing more about what im seeing in the big apple.
I have to admit a little bit of excitement for seeing the Occupy Wall Street stuff. I want to get a sense of what is going on down there. These are interesting times for sure.
There are also some nice things going on for the new album but I feel like this other stuff is REALLY big and It's going to be interesting to see it in the flesh.
