I had a funny thought yesterday while riding on the amtrak train from philadelphia to new york. A tall slim baldish guy not unlike myself walked into the café car where i was sitting and ordered a veggie burger........instantly I thought to myself. "This guy is actually going to order a veggie burger on an amtrak train? are you kidding me? " "this thing could be 3 years old and freezer burned , or even worse.....4 years old and freezer burned "
here are two facts about the amtrak veggie burger for those of you not familiar :
1. it contains NO VEGGIES
2. its main ingredients very well could be A) old chinese newspapers and B) most likely also contains random lint from calcutta ( is there any other kind? )
Im very proud to announce that my philadelphia eagles football team of NFL football has made the playoffs. I sort of went in and out during the season and kept an eye on them each weekend but my mind was on a lot of other things as the year ended. Happily though they've made the playoffs and could maybe even make a nice run to the super bowl if things can fall in place for them.

"2008 works well with others and was a great presence in the classroom. It lost billions of dollars during aug-nov but it didn't mean to. It made up for itself by allowing Barack Obama to become the new president of the united states. I look forward to having 2009 in my classroom next year , Hopefully 2009 will be as sharing and coopoerative 2009. Also 2008 was the year of THE FACEBOOKS......i sense a loss of interest in the second quarter of 2009 "

After a rocky terrible start to the year things stabilized. Had some nice gigs , had some nice music placements in shows and commercials and some films same old same old. I managed to go to Los Angeles,Fiji, Stockholm, London , Paris , London , Paris , London , Paris , Barcelona , London , Paris and San Francisco throughout the year......4 trips to Europe in 3 months....= NUTS. But a ton of fun and amazingly therapeutic. saw wimbeldon in person....kayaked in the mediterranean. Yee ha...
The highlight of the year both spiritually and professionally was without a doubt the night we paid tribute to my father at lincoln center. ( august 13th......) the year was a sharp uphill climb from there on out.....and ended on the highest of high notes. The concert was where my year took a hard right turn for the better in so many ways. Met up with some great old friends and family some I've haven't seen since I was 7 one in particular that liked to throw a frisbie at my head for fun! ( very nice person now ) and Hal Willner was the best partner a fella could ever hope to have on that show. he did an incerdible job and is an incredible person in general.
Lot's of other great things happened during 2008, the year of redemption and healing here at MOWO! INC where , missing my father was the order of the day. It's messed up how you can really really take a while to get back on the horse again after falling off. Just literally now settling back in and back to writing and working more. New album in 2009 for sure. wasn't gonna happen in 2008 , didnt have it in me. So no worries.
Also....2 other great albums coming from MOWO! INC in 2009 that will please one and all. Johnny Arrow and Cariad Harmon ... great stuff and not what you'd expect from. Also don't forget to look for me on the new URSULA 1000 album and as always.....music from MOWO! will be assaulting you on a daily basis on your tv and in your local movie theater. ( fingers crossed ! haha )
The year came to a nice conclusion this evening with me hanging out with and watching my friends MY MORNING JACKET rock the madison square garden. Ahhhhhhhh 2009....... BRING IT BITCHES!!!!!!
