I have to share something with you guys but before I do I have to give you a bit of back story.

Before I say anything I want to say that I respect rufus wainwright and think he has been through a lot and is a very talented musician/song writer. We shared a manager for a number of years and all in all I think he is a very intriguing artist for the most part. I respect his initiative to do green concerts......As with most green things though I think they are mostly for the benefit of the artist and not sincere. As George Carlin once said. "The Earth is going to be fine, its the humans that are going to die"

Green is in. its easy for artists to do something green , get some press ( even gay press ) and get noticed. HOWEVER......its much easier for me if all artists actually do something, come out and condemn BUSH for ignoring everything related to the green issue.

having now gotten that out of the way. With a keen eye on humor and an absolute cynical eye on most things I give you this.

The quote about the summer solstice is beyond hysterical to me, not that I dont think it would be cool just to turn off all of the lights at once for a while. It would be amazing, sort of the same way it would be amazing if everyone honked their car horn at the same time or better yet , flushed their toilets all at once......that would REALLY rock.

I just love that rufus in his ever present precious way said "summer solstice" i can just hear him whining that phrase. Rufus makes Waylon and Madame seem butch. It is what it is, he is really funny and a nice guy, I just giggle at the thought of seeing him reclining on a chair talking to a reporter and just sort of throwing out this idea and then having someone feed him grapes!

YOU GET IT NOW.....you have to admit that's hysterical. I really hope Rufus at one point gains like 100 lbs , we need another Dom DeLuise!!!

hahaha

be well,

MOWO!™
