The beauty of the internet
So,
I'm sitting in airport at my gate and a gentleman is sitting behind me on the phone with his office complaining , nicely complaining about having been given a window seat. I had seen him delivered to the gate in a wheel chair and I figured when he got off the phone I'd simply arrange to switch seats with him. I actually like window seats and difference would it really make? He seemed to have a need and I could easily oblige it.
So, I sort of got up and while he was on the phone I stretched in anticipation of the 5 hour flight ahead of me , thinking to myself "when he gets off, just offer him the seat". As I was within ear shot of his conversation I realized I recognized his voice. I had heard him give a speech before , I just knew I recognized this distinct voice. Low and behold after about 5 minutes of hearing him speak I realized I had been sitting behind Sir Kenneth Robinson.
Do you know who he is?
You should.........watch this clip below :

its amazing no?
Needless to say when I realized who I just offered my seat to I had to introduce myself and thank him for his brilliance. We had a really nice conversation and then OUR FLIGHT WAS DELAYED FOR 5 HOURS!!!!
So, I write this as I sit in the lounge of LAX. Please if you can watch that clip above. If it doesn't move you and make you laugh out loud I'm not quite sure what to say. I found it extremely moving and I also found the man that delivered the speech to be an incredibly kind individual. I rarely if ever want to meet folks or get nervous approaching someone. I was nervous. At the end of the day I really needn't have been.
He did tell me an incredible story about Ludwig Wittgenstein and then he lead me to this link:

insane to think that one of the 20th centuries greatest philosphers was in grade score with a little adolf. Makes you think what they were thinking about during this photo.
Im thinking schnitzel.....and aint nothing wrong with that!
we live on an incredible planet. you never know who you are going to meet and where its going to lead you. I really enjoyed this encounter. Cheer Sir Kenneth.
