when you live in a place for 25 years like I did you realize that there are so many aspects of it that as a function of living there you miss out on. You don't visit the museums all the time. You don't usually know everything about hotels and every neighborhood. When you visit NY as a non resident you want to see everything and go everywhere but when you live here you settle into routines and have patterns to your life
 
It's been really chaotic but amazing visiting the last couple of days. I've tried to pack everything into a 4 day visit. So far I've visited the upper east side, the west side , chinatown , midtown , times sqaure , east village , murray hill , washington square.....in short
 
I've visited areas that in any given month I might not even get to
 
its been a lot of fun........I WANT TO GO HOME NOW! I miss my amazing wife and step son
