Yes, if you were watching CSI last night ( jan 22nd ) you did in fact hear my tune "TICKLE IT" during a scene where Forrest Whitaker did something with clues or someone's DNA or he was hanging out with Colonel Mustard in the library ( I've never seen CSI but isn't it CLUE™®© with better looking people? ).....I promise you , you did hear my tune. And I'm very happy for it.
Im psyched they used the tune the way they did.

R.I.P David Fathead Newman

One of the true giants of the tenor saxophone passed away today. Most of you know Fathead as the Tenor player in the classic Ray Charles band. He was also portrayed (unfairly I might add ) in the film "RAY" but this isn't about that so so at best film. This is about a great man. A great friend of both my father and my family and a great friend to music in general.
He will be missed. His contribution incredible in its scope is only second to his amazing gentlemanly manner and incredibly generous heart.
