my now borderline obsessive love for Marion Cotillard aside. HA!

I have been absolutely obsessing on an album of late. that album is called Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. it's made by this little group called the beatles.......ever heard of em?

this is not weird for me. normally I will listen to the same album for like a month. Now with the ipod and iphone I have the ability to listen to single tunes Im fixated on ( A DAY IN THE LIFE ...anyone?? ) or I can listen to the album in its entirety.

I cant get shit done the last couple of days. Im actually doing work though, but it doesnt feel like Im getting anything done.

sometimes life "eats a bag of dicks" as LOUIS CK often says.

ive been busy working on the tribute show for my father.

its Weds,August 13th at Lincoln Center and its free. come on down if you are in town.

its just about all Im working on.

now I guess i should get around to paying bills and write some checks. HA!.... not in a great mood today.

It's been an interesting week. Im not gonna go into great detail. We had an amazing gig at NUBLU last monday night. That was lovely......was a nice surprise to see so many folks come out. So thank you for that.

Second.

I watched "JOY DIVISION" the documentary........pure genius on so many levels. Got really caught up in it actually. Im not even a huge fan of their music but the story was told so beautifully. The design look and feel were spot on and the story itself was very emotional and at times very funny.

Just , so damn well done, hats off.

EUROPE , WHAT I LEARNED

EUROPE A SUMMARY

So what did I learn?

London is a lot of fun and they have a new subway system called "the tube" ( bring ear plugs )

Paris is the prettiest city on earth but sometimes has an interesting odor

All flights overseas have at least one hassidic jew on them ( all flights on virgin america have about 40 )

My Morning Jacket are some of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet

LONDON BACK TO PARIS BACK TO NYC........

Damn.

This has been one long wild ride of a couple of weeks of doing some serious shit.

So the engagement party for my friends was stellar. The amazing bit was that I spent the first part of the day after my train trip to Paris with my boy joe watching cricket...................................................everyone pauses and says "uh oh.....MOWO! is turning into a posh c**t"

wow.....so not the case but I finally understand that game. What a great game. I mean 5 days........bit too much but I get some basics and can watch it now if Im somewhere and like know why people dig it.

PARIS DAY THREE.........I aint did shit today!!!!

just getting over this cold. headed back to london tomorrow for my friends engagement party where I will spend a night and then return to paris. I sound way more international and cooler than I actually am. Normally Im just a schmuck with an iphone and some gadgets and a lot of snotty opinions. I just happen to be that same guy going between two world capitals. Really not that big of a deal.
